Over-Zealous Parking Fines Jeopardise Market Towns' Future PDF Print E-mail

BRYNLE Williams, Assembly Member for North Wales, expressed his dismay at the amount of money raised by North Wales councils through parking fines.  Commenting on the figures in a Taxpayers’ Alliance report, Mr Williams said:

 

“I fully appreciate that parking facilities have to be kept in good order, but over-zealous enforcement will just turn shoppers away.

 

“The high streets in our market towns like Denbigh and Ruthin already have a hard time competing with supermarkets that offer free parking.

Flooding risk leaves Mold residents high and dry PDF Print E-mail

BRYNLE Williams, Assembly Member for North Wales, today pressed Ministers to help housing association tenants in Cae Bracty, Mold who have experienced serious difficulties obtaining insurance and face unaffordable premiums because their homes have been built on flood plains.  Mr Williams said:

 

“Through no fault of their own, tenants at Cae Bracty have been left unable to insure their homes.

 

“Flooding has forced a disabled constituent of mine out of their home and into a hotel for three months.

COMMENTING on news that the number of breeding ewes has fallen below 4 million for the first time, Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs Brynle Williams AM said:

COMMENTING during today’s Assembly debate on direct payments for those receiving care support, Brynle Williams, Assembly Member for North Wales, highlighted the unique needs of post-polio syndrome sufferers in Wales.  Mr Williams said:

 

“Although Polio had been all but eradicated by the 1960s, it left a huge legacy of survivors, now in their 50s, 60s and 70s, who have developed chronic and debilitating conditions.

Brynle Williams, Assembly Member for North Wales and Shadow Minister for Rural Affairs,  visited the Supported Living Scheme for homeless young people in Llandudno recently to meet with staff and residents and find out more about the facilities and support offered at the project.
